2012 Telstra TriSeries Hillarys Triathlon

The final race of the 2011 – 2012 Telstra TriSeries was held at the Hillarys Circuit in the northern Perth suburbs. THe conditions were perfect for triathlon racing with light winds, warm temperatures and slightly overcast skies prevailing for the whole race. A sellout field took part in the event creating an amazing spectacle with over 1200 bikes in the racks at the event park. The increasing popularity of the Tadpoles event was combined with students from Newman College who also took part. The mens race was won by James Lewin who has overcome injury to notch an impressive win over the series champion, Paul Mackay. In the womens race, Katey Gibb made it a clean sweep at Hillarys as she also took out the series.
