50K Training Log: Week 2
By admin
So something terrible happened yesterday.
I woke up like this…
Flattering, right? And that was after about 3 previous attempts of trying to not look like death. But sadly, when you feel like death, it shows.
Fever, chills, congestion, sore joints… ugh.
As first I asked myself the typical questions:
- Have I pushed myself too hard?
- Am I not fueling properly?
- Am I training too much?
But then, I told Dan… no.
Sometimes you just get sick. We’ve had several (like tons) of clients battling grossness lately and I always tease them that they better not give it to me. Well, being around germs all day long and one sneaky guy got to me.
Sometimes it happens. I just hope it’s a fast bug and my body kills it off soon.
I of course skipped my training run yesterday, which luckily was just 4 miles, so while I’m disappointed to have my first hick-up of not following it, I am hoping it’s the only one I get. If so, that’s not so bad! Right?
But that’s this week… let’s go over last weeks training. It was solid!

Everything is still feeling good (well, except being sick) and I am really enjoying training! But for now, excuse me as I go back to sleep.
