Lately I’ve Been…
By admin
You guys know I love a good survey. Sometimes I just enjoy sitting and chatting with you, getting to know you better. And I hope you do as well.
I saw this on Tina’s blog awhile ago and thought it would be a fun way to wrap up the week.
Lately, I’ve Been…
Making: Everything. I’m working on a new nutrition project that will include a huge recipe database. Each week, I’ve been trying to make 6+ new recipes!
Cooking: Nothing. Having a broken leg makes cooking a challenge. During the day, recipe testing is fine. At night, I’m tired and ready to put my leg up. Dan’s doing most of the cooking. Turns out he does know how!
Drinking: Iced latte with a splash of stevia, cinnamon, ginger and nutmeg. Sans ice. We ran out.
Wanting: Next Friday to get here as fast as possible! The count down is on, 7 days and this boot will be off my foot (fingers crossed). I will be having a “break the crutches” party! Wanna come?
Reading: Gut: The Inside Story Of Our Body’s Most Underrated Organ. It’s actually a great read. I love learning more about how our bodies work. I also think that our gut health is linked to much of our wellbeing. This isn’t an crazy scientific book. It’s in laymen’s terms, so I can understand it.
Looking: Forward to walking! I can’t wait to just go for a walk or a jog. I’m also looking forward to people not having to help me with basic life things… like opening doors.
Playing: Keith Urban’s new song, John Cougar, John Deere, John 3:16. I can’t get enough of it. I’m the queen of finding a new song and listening it until I know every single word. Love it!
Enjoying: My pull-up and push-up challenge with Bonnie. I would have slacked off a long time ago if it wasn’t for her. I love having an accountability and workout partner, even if she’s in another country.
Liking: The cool, crisp mornings. Fall is here (this week at least) and it’s been wonderful. The door is open for Nike to enjoy the porch and our air is off. The best!
Wondering: What my recovery plan will be. I need something written out so I don’t do too much too soon. A lot of body weight moves, I know that. As well as single leg exercises for ankle mobility and strength. Pistol squats, I hope you’re ready!
Hoping: I will have enough time to train for our Dec. 5th trail run, Battle For Black Rock. It’s just 12 miles, but because it’s in the mountains, I need to make sure my ankle is 100% strong enough.
Needing: To scrub our house. Dan has done a good job of picking up, but the place hasn’t had a scrub down since my break. I can’t wait to get the bleach and sponges out!
Wearing: Onzie. This is my new favorite athletic appearal brand! I can’t wait to show you guys the capris. If you follow me on Instagram, you’ve seen my favorite sports bra. It’s the most comfortable sports bra ever!
Following: @KettlebellExercises They have some great moves and techiniques I’m excited to try.
Noticing: New arm definition from 5 weeks on crutches!
Knowing: Everything happens for a reason. We were supposed to fly to Glacier National Park this past Wednesday. I can’t backpack with a broken leg so we canceled the trip. It turns out it was for the best… so much going on right now!
Thinking: Of all the things I have to do once I am recovered. I think we have over 50 workouts with my name written all over them. Let the filming begin! At least workouts are fun to film!
Feeling: Anxious/Excited. We have so much going on which will move ahead when the boot comes off. I can’t wait to see what goals we can achieve by January!
Bookmarking: This pumpkin chocolate chip muffins. I am all about baked goods right now!
Opening: A new gym in less than 4 weeks!
It’s your turn…
