Friendly Friday: Blog Posts Spotlights For Easter Candy Recovery Help

By admin

It’s Friday and for a lot of people the start of their weekend! I can’t believe how quickly Easter popped up this year! I realized just yesterday that I need to plan out what I am making for our family dinner. Ugh, any suggestions are welcome!

One thing I do know about this weekend is that I will be enjoying my chocolate bunny and jelly beans that I can always count on from my mom. Yup, I am almost 29 (1 week) and I still get an Easter basket, don’t judge.

Of course that means that come Monday I will likely feel the need for a sugar detox! The price you pay for loving Starburst Jelly Beans (which are of course the best).

It’s that need for many of us to recover from a sugar filled weekend that is the highlight of today’s Friendly Friday! If you’re new, Friendly Friday is where I share with you my favorite blog posts that I have found throughout the week.

If you have a great blog or article to share please do in the comments. Love to be introduced to new bloggers and of course great information.

5 Tips For Reducing Sugar Consumption:

After enjoying a bit more sugar than normal, your body craves it more and more. Studies show that it has the same affect on the brain as drugs. So I want to thank Tamara at FitKnitChick for sharing some great tips on how to reduce sugar consumption!

If you’re going to need some help after this weekend with some sugar self-control, then check it out!

Homemade Healthy Cadbury Eggs:

I have never not liked a recipe that I’ve gotten from Chocolate Covered Katie. I grew up obsessed with Cadbury Creme Eggs, but seriously they are so bad for you and to be honest as I have cleaned up my diet they are actually too sweet for my taste buds. I’m kind of sad about it.

This recipe looks really simple and delicious, a perfect compromise between the Cadbury lover and the clean eater inside of me. Her recipe can easily be made vegan and I am contemplating making these for my family!

Run Burpee Run Workout:

So you’ve eaten a big meal and a basket full of candy now it’s time to get your butt moving! I love circuits that combine strength and cardio, in fact I create a lot of workouts that have these two co-exist together at FWW! So it’s not surprise that when I saw this workout I loved it!

Tina put together a quick treadmill and body weight workout that by the end will have you covering 3 miles and huffing and buffing! Just what you’ll be craving.

Relationship Between Hormones Carbs & Acne:

I love Lori and Michelle because they are completely honest. They are continuously experimenting with their diet to find what works best for them in terms of acne, digestion and overall life.

As someone who suffers from acne flair ups from time to time, I found this helpful! It’s nice to know I am not alone!

Plus, their eats looks incredible!

And that’s a wrap for this week! While writing this post, I have decided to make a 7-layer salad for Sunday so now it’s time to choose what 7 things I’ll be layering up!

What’s your favorite Easter candy?

Do you get a basket or will you be making a basket?
