Doing Less Is Often Times More: Fitness Tips From A Sherpa

By admin

Hello there! If I haven’t said it before, thanks so much for taking time out of your day to come by and hang out with me here at Lifting Revolution.

I feel blessed to continuously meet so many wonderful people through this blog, and I am truly appreciative for everyone that stops by.

One of the perks of blogging is making instant friends with other bloggers and non-bloggers.

With other bloggers, all the awkward “getting to know you questions” can be passed and it’s as if we’ve known each other for years since we’ve been keeping up with one another’s diary (isn’t that what a blog is?).

One of those bloggers is Lindsay from Cotter Crunch.

We met at the Blend Retreat and I instantly knew I liked her…  I also knew that she had to be a guest on What The Fitness.

Lindsay has done so much in her 29-years of life… lindsay cotter

-Race directing in Kona

-Marrying a professional triathlete

-Becoming a professional sherpa (gotta listen to find out what that entails)

-Starting her awesome blog (she shares tips if you’ve been thinking about it)

-Kick starting her own gluten-free baking business

-Overcoming health issues (she’s now gluten free)

Perhaps the most important achievement in her life:

Learning to work hard when life calls for it and learning to relax and say “no” when it’s necessary.

Lindsay was generous enough to say “yes” to me when I asked her to be on the podcast. I know you guys are going to love what she has to say and will magically find your way over to Cotter Crunch.

Fitness, Food, And Focusing On The Now

I admire Lindsay for the support she gives her husband. They are truly a team and this is something I can relate to 100%. I think that as a spouse, we take on the role of sherpa automatically. Dan and I work together so that we can accomplish my goals and his goals. The two of us can do a lot more than if we set out on our own.

In terms of life, let’s just say I am in need of some relaxation and it’s coming to the point where I know my body can’t work any harder. My body and mind are starting to warn me that I should chill out a bit. Talking with Lindsay and reading her blog has definitely helped me to actually say “screw it, I need a break” which will come on Thursday when we head out to Florida for a short vacation!

Thanks Lindsay!
