Insulin is like crack and everybody wants some. Whether your goal is get shredded or buffer insulin is our hormone of choice. Heres some boring nutrition info. Insulin 101 (Black and white) As I said before, a calorie isn’t a calorie, its all about nutrition partitioning. Nutrition partitioning is WHAT the body decides to do with what you eat. Its simple, its either stored or used immediately for energy. Better insulin sensitivity makes you more anabolic. How? Carbs become glucose and this glucose is determined by insulin to either be stored as glycogen in muscle which is what we want or converted to a triglyceride and stored as fat! And thats bad. Really bad. If you eat too many of the wrong type of carbs at the wrong times, your body can become more insulin RESISTANT, so you’ll store carbs as fat rather than as muscle.
