Friendly Friday: Peanut Butter Latte Protein Shake & More!

By admin

I’m loving the fact that it’s Friday!

This evening we’re hosting a Happy Hour Workout… aka, a workout followed by smoothie bar. I love holding fun events like this and feel so lucky to be able to hang out with clients/friends.

We’ve held traditional happy hours before but since so many of us are participating in the 6-week challenge, I decided it wouldn’t be wise to workout and then sip wine. Let’s stick to the challenge.

One shake I’m loving lately and will be sharing tonight?

This Peanut Butter Latte Protein Shake!

I used to teach Friday morning classes at a different location and would stop by the best little coffee shop between classes for an almond milk latte with 1 pump of peanut butter syrup.

Sounds strange, but it was flipping delicious… and needed to be recreated in the form of a shake, and without syrup.

  • 1 Via Coffee (or Tbsp of instant coffee)
  • ½ Cup Almond Milk
  • 1 Scoop Vanilla Protein (I use Gnarly)
  • 1-2 Tbsp Peanut Butter
  • ½ Tsp Cinnamon
  • ½ Cup Ice (or more)

I’ve been getting a bit more adventurous with shakes lately since I’ve cut bananas out of my diet. Luckily, they’re still just as good!

A few other finds I’m loving…

Trucker Hats

patagonia-hat

Since Dan bought me my Patagonia Hat, I haven’t wanted to take it off! When I went running last weekend on some trails, I was ecstatic for the decision to wear it. The hat was covered in spiderwebs. Who knew it would come to have such an important role?

Plus, it’s the first hat that Dan has really liked on me. Ha.

I think I need a few more to start a collection.

Onnit Ropes

We bought a few ropes for the gym and I am in love. Dan and I both wanted something that would be a bit more hardy than the current suspension systems we have. He found these on Onnit and I’ve had fun making mini challenges for clients.

They are so much fun! Rope climbs, suspension training, pulls, and even jump roping… these babies know no limits.

And they’re pretty cheap in comparison to TRX. Win.

Here’s a video from Onnit demoing a ton of moves. Can’t wait to try them all!

Okay, let’s cover some things I’m loving around the world wide web.
