Hard to believe, but true! I managed to finish my first ironman distance triathlon – Challenge Wanaka 2008. There’s Gina Ferguson, winner of the Women’s division presenting the medal, then Victoria Murray-Orr, Challenge Wanaka Director, and finally Felix Walchshofer, race director for Quelle Challenge Roth and Challenge Wanaka giving me a big hug. Gotta love that guy, he came out and drove along beside me about 3/4 of the way through the run leg for a couple of km – really made a difference to me.
