I’m Loving A Lot Lately
By admin
Happy Friday! How was your week? Though the week felt as if it dragged a bit, it wasn’t as dramatic as last week. Low key, just what I needed.
Today I have a new what I’m loving lately. Feel free to share your loves down below too!
What I’m Loving
- Anniversaries.
Today marks 5 years since Dan and I said “I do”. I often think about how we have changed/grown over the past 5 years and I love it. Our passions have changed but our goals have remained solid.
There isn’t anyone else I can imagine loving, arguing with, working with and living with. I could look at our wedding pictures all day long. What a wonderful start to our life.
- Doctor Visits
Wednesday morning I headed to my orthopedist for x-rays and a progress report.
The bad news? The x-rays revealed the break was a bit more severe than we thought (I ended up breaking the entire bone).
The good news? Recovery is going well and in 2 weeks from today I will {fingers crossed} have the clear to remove Bertha! YES!!
I love these! I have them clipped to a bar at the studio and every other day I’ve spent a few minutes on grip training. We have a grip board at home, but it’s a bit too high for my comfort right now.
These are perfect. And extremely challenging. For grip and elbow safety, I stick to 15s intervals. 15s of hanging and 15 s of rest for 5 rounds.
Many of these I have seen and posted on my own Plank Variation Post. But there are a few cool one’s I’ve never tried before.
Everyone loves a good plank workout from time to time, right? I might not love planks, but my body does.
Tip… make sure to stop staring at the guys insane triceps long enough to notice the exercises.
I am pretty sure Joy Behar is just as disliked at the dentist that killed Cecil. And for good reason.
When I was in the ER, I never even saw a doctor. I saw 4 different, amazing, nurses and a physicians assistant.
Kateri’s response to Behar’s rude comments were perfect and summed up everything eloquently.
One of the fears I have about starting a family is the affect it will have on our adventures. I know that is entirely up to us, but let’s be real… kids change your life.
Dan and I were talking the other day about how great and not so great it is that we both love our adventures. We love sharing the experiences together but it’s hard because I refuse to ever sit out to be a spectator.
Morgan shows that you can still have your adventures and be an awesome mom. I just hope our kids love the outdoors as much as we do.
- No Bake Snacks
I’m finding my way around the kitchen better these days, but standing on one foot for too long gets exhausting fast.
I’m all about easy! No bake energy balls have made a comeback in our house. Dan has something to snack on and I have more time to put my feet up.
I love the blueberry lemon balls (recipe coming soon) and macaroons right now.
- Lip Sync Battle With Ellen Degeneres
- Random Fall Weather
I am sure it’s not here to stay but this week we were blessed with mornings in the 60s and 70s.
That’s insane for Charleston! I couldn’t help but get out and enjoy it.
I went for a mile long crutch and was in heaven.
- Delicious Recipes
I am inspired by so many around me. Here are some tasty recipes that caught my attention this week:
Vegan Chai Spiced Smoothie Bowls
Butternut Squat Soup (I wish Dan liked butternut squash)
Okay, now it’s your turn…
