Nature Is Music And Eggplants Are Butts!

Happy Earth Day! I love Earth Day, I mean if anyone is against it than maybe they should just get off the earth, right?
I have so much respect and awe for this amazing planet we live on, and as a biology dork (I was a bio major), it’s incredible to see and learn what this planet is capable of. Though, I don’t think we will ever TRULY know, ya know?
But because it’s Earth Day, I found this really cool video from Burt’s Bees. Check it out and think of what you’ve done lately and what you can do in the future to make your time on this planet better. And when was the last time to thanked mother earth for such a home?
This morning was our normal Saturday Farmer’s Market adventure! I love farmer’s market mornings! Even if it means, I can’t stay in my pj’s until lunch time. We freaking went to town this morning on our freshies.
I’m talking:
- Pea Shoots
- Lettuce
- Tomatos
- Squash
- Brussel sprouts
- Mushrooms
- Onions
- Kale
- Eggplant
Okay, so I have been so excited to share my “butt” of an eggplant with you! I couldn’t bring myself to buy it but you better believe we had to take a photo!
Are Dan and I the only one’s who think this eggplant looks like a butt?
Please tell me we’re not alone! I was “cracking” up… haha, get it?
We bought all of our goodies for a grand total of $ 22!!!
Afterwards, we enjoyed the morning together by just walking around down town and shooting some pictures. It was the furthest I have walked since my knee has been screwed up, but with a new brace on it held up and felt great!
The fresh air was exactly what we needed… along with a coffee!
Have you visited Charleston before?
Here are some shots from our walk!
Of course I had to do some chin-ups! No walk is complete without chin-ups in the park!
Hey Horsey! How’s it goin?
Who doesn’t LOVE Rainbow Row?
