Omnium Elimination race – Track Cycling World Cup

By admin

The first half of the Elimination ride of the Omnium event (like a cycling version of a Hexathlon) competition in the UCI Track Cycling World Cup Classics 2010-11 held at the Manchester Velodrome on 18-20 February 2011. The elimination works simply by having all riders cycle round the track in a group. Every second lap is an elimination lap and the last rider over the line is eliminated and has to leave the track. This continues until the last two riders hold a sprint for the victory. Riders are then awarded points according to where they finished in the race.

Why Fate? Naturally competitive, whether against herself on the toughest climb of her favorite trail or a field of competitors in an endurance event, the Fate HT 29er rider demands the premium performance only the world’s first women’s carbon hardtail 29er can deliver. She is aware of new technologies and trends in mountain biking, and wants a fast-handling, lightweight and compliant bike for ripping singletrack trails and fire roads.
