The Gif It All You Got Workout & Paddle Boarding Redemption
By admin
I thought it would be fun to compile my favorite gifs that we’ve created over the past few months to make the ultimate total body workout for this week.
What do you say?
Dan and I are going on a min vacation this week and to be honest, I think our brains were on vacation mode this weekend. With the Mega Mud Run Saturday and then following it up yesterday with a 4 mile paddleboard adventure (photos below)… work got pushed to the side.
That’s the reason for the lack of show today. Sometimes, we all deserve to put work away and spend time being together and active.
So I’m sorry… normal LR Shows will return next week!
But I don’t think the replacement is bad at all.
This workout is going to kick butt, and it’s all body weight. No excuses not to do it.
That’s the theme for the month:
No excuses…
If you want to workout 3 days this week, then do it.
If you have a race coming up and need to train, then lace up your shoes and run.
If you have been wanting to clean up your diet, then toss out the crap in the house and clean it up.
It’s the start of fall, make it the start of change.
Okay, now that I got that out of my system…
Gif It All You Got Workout
Workout Overview:
- Start by doing each exercise for 20 seconds followed by a 10 second rest before moving to the next move.
- Repeat the circuit, this time doing each exercise for 40 seconds with a 15 second rest between each.
- Then (get where this is going), complete each exercise for 60 seconds with a 20 second rest between moves.
- Stop here, or work back down from the 60 seconds by doing each for 40 seconds and then 20 seconds.
- Track your reps and aim to improve with each round up. Then as you work back down try to get the same or better as the first time.

Paddle Boarding Redemption
As mentioned above, Dan, Amanda and myself spent the afternoon yesterday on Shem Creek, a local shrimping creek in Mount Pleasant (where I’m from).
Dan has really gotten into stand up paddle boarding since our first adventure, and found that you can rent boards from Half Moon for just $ 20 for 4 hours! So we have decided to make this a bi-weekly event, hopefully. It’s cheaper than a dinner date out!
This time was so much better than the last, and I felt redeemed. I was able to paddle standing up the entire time and complete our route without stopping. It felt amazing, and I think I finally figured out this whole SUP thing. Though, it’s going to take some serious practice!
I didn’t try to race against my speedy husband and instead just did the best I could do.
He impresses me with his skills! I swear he’s a fish.
I loved every minute of our slightly more than 4 mile adventure. And finished with a high. I can’t wait for our next one!
Yes, at the end I decided to try some push-ups. Perhaps SUP Boot Camp is to come?
