The Rivalry 10 Minute Kettlebell Workout
By admin
A rivalry exists people. It’s real… the fight between body weight workouts and kettlebell workouts.
What? You don’t think it is? You think they can live harmoniously together?
Okay, you’re probably right. Yes… you’re absolutely right. They can, and there is always a place for both body weight workouts and weighted workouts.
Sometimes even in the same workout! Amazing, right!?
Today’s workout is a killer, I’m not going to lie. It’s just 10 minutes, but it’s 10 minutes of pure intensity. Heart thumping, muscles burning intensity.
And yes, it’s 50% body weight, 50% kettlebells. Just the way I like it!
The Rivalry 10 Minute Kettlebell Workout
10 minutes? Is that long enough to accomplish anything? You better believe it is!
After 10 minutes, if you do this workout the way it’s suppose to be done… full out for each 5 minute chunk, you’ll feel it for sure. If you don’t? Then grab a heavier kettlebell and go for another round.
Fair?
The first part is all bodyweight moves. You’ll set a timer for 5 minutes and complete 8 reps of each, doing as many rounds as possible.
Once the timer goes off, grab a sip of water reset for another 5 minutes and complete the kettlebell circuit (8 reps of each) for as many rounds as possible.
My challenge to you? Repeat this workout next week and see if you can improve! It’s a great mini progress workout.
The Exercises
I loved this workout… it’s amazing what can happen in just 10 minutes! My heart was pounding thanks to the snatches and squats at the end. I have a feeling you’ll love it too!
Give it a shot and let me know. Of course many moves can be modified to use dumbbells if you don’t have access to kettlebells!
Oh, and I would love it if you would share the workout!
Up The Kettlebell Antics
For those of you who love kettlebells as much as I do, make sure to check out my new VIMEO page! Full workouts, new workouts being added regularly. In fact, I just filmed one this past weekend!
I ask because Dan and I are currently on our way back up to Mt Mitchell State Park for a 3 day backpacking trip! This is our first “REAL” backpacking experience and we’re both excited and nervous. This is our practice run for our Sept John Muir trip!
Wish us luck. I’m not sure how often I’ll be able to post pictures, but I will be sharing snippets of our trip on Instagram (do you follow me?). And of course I’ll give a full recap next week!
So pumped! Pray no bears bother us!
