Top 10 Best Post Workout Shakes Ever!
By admin
Good morning friends!
It’s been a while since I shared a new shake recipe with you and boy do I have a good one!
I love shakes and I sometimes think if I wasn’t married to a man that loves “real food” I could survive solely off of them. After all, I always put real, whole food ingredients in them so I’m not skipping out on nutrition.
But the fact remains I am married and Dan isn’t so keen on the idea of shakes for breakfast, lunch and dinner. So we keep them for post workout fueling.
We all know by now that after a tough workout the body is craving a replenishment of nutrients… more specifically protein and glycogen to assist in muscle recovery AND refueling energy sources.
Even though we know this, it can be hard. There is such a thing called exercise anorexia… basically a lack of appetite post workout. I for one am queen of this, after a great workout or long run the last thing I want to do is eat something. But drink something? That I’m fine with.
That’s the beauty of a shake. Easy, delicious, and doable!
Over the past months I’ve been experimenting with my Vitamin… unlike my husband who drinks the same exact shake every single day… I like to change things up. I have to change things up! My tastebuds like variety.
So here are my top 10 post workout shakes… and I’m not the only one voting. Most of these I’ve had taste tested by clients who have all given them 2 thumbs up!

You want to know the trick to making a good shake? Not being afraid to toss what you have in a blender to see what can happen!
Sometimes things come out not so good (I made a “spicy berry” last week and though I loved it, my spice radar was down and caused spicy tears to form for my testers. Oops). But sometimes you win big!
