We made it to Friday friends! Anything fun planned?
We’ve got tons going on. Though I’m not excited to say good-bye to my friend Katie who is moving to Oklahoma next week. My speed demon running buddy is leaving me. At least we’ll get one last hoorah of a run in tomorrow morning.

Okay now the meat of the post… or should I say the smoothie?
After a weekend away, I was dragging earlier this week and in need of a serious pick-me up. Luckily, this frappuccino was born and I received the wake up call I needed!
It’s delicious, the perfect combination of chocolate, coffee (and caffeine) and creaminess. I love thick shakes and this hit the spot!

I experimented a lot!
- You can go with a vanilla protein, but add 1 tbsp unsweetened cocoa and a bit of stevia.
- I used an espresso shot one day and an iced coffee the next. Both worked perfect, though I am partial to espresso.
- Kale works really well too, but you need to choice one or the other as it helps to make the shake more creamy.
I think that I gave Starbucks a run for it’s money! And let’s face it, it’s a heck of a lot more nutritious!
Mine is normally an almond milk latte with a single pump of vanilla and an extra shot. So good! I don’t go to Starbucks often, but love local coffee shops!
